Windham Community Bands' 10th Annual Holiday Concert at Windham High School (NH)

The Windham Community Bands' 10th Annual Holiday Concert will take place at
Windham High School on Sunday, December 20 from 3 to 5 pm.  The public is
invited to take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle, enjoy the music
and relax at this festive event.  All three Windham Community Bands groups -
Flute Ensemble, Concert Band, and Swing Band - will present beautiful music
for the holiday season. A $5 donation is requested of adults for the benefit
of the bands. Children and students are free.

The Windham Concert Band under the direction of Dr. Spencer Aston and Mr.
Rob Scagnelli will perform a program of holiday favorites including Leroy
Anderson's "Sleigh Ride" and "A Christmas Festival," "A Hannukah Festival,"
"A Charlie Brown Christmas," and "The Hallelujah Chorus."  The concert band
program will conclude with " "A Christmas Sing-A-Long" led by special guest,
Santa Claus.  Refreshments and desserts provided by band members will be
available during intermission. Holiday tunes swing-style will be served up
in the second half of the program by the Windham Swing Band under the
direction of Rob Daisy and Rob Fogg III.  Joining the big band again this
year will be the vocal quartet DeCadence directed by Karen Sayward.
Selections include "Waltz of the Flowers" featured Rob Cary on trumpet, and
Andrews Sisters favorites "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree" and "Boogie
Woogie Bugle Boy." The Flute Ensemble, directed by David Howard, will
perform holiday music in the lobby before the concert starting at 2:40 and
again during intermission.

The Windham Community Bands are a non-profit organization founded in 1997 by
Windham residents Roanne Copley and Frank Rydstrom, and the bands' first
music director Bruce Lee.  For more information, please contact David Howard
